We’re Jandy and Dave—partners in life, business, and big dreams. Out of Bounds started as a single cabin build, but really, it’s the product of nearly a decade of trial, error, and gut-instinct decisions in the world of real estate and rentals.

We began our journey almost 10 years ago in long-term rentals, buying a few single-family homes and learning everything the hard way. When returns started to dip and our desire for something more creative and fulfilling grew, we built our first beach house—and instantly caught the short-term rental bug. That first build changed everything.

Now, almost 3 years into cabin building, we manage multiple unique stays in both the Blue Ridge Mountains and along the barrier island of Holden Beach, each designed to help people slow down and reconnect—with themselves, with nature, and with each other.
